Why is the world upside down? This may be useful!

Hello and welcome dear reader! So glad you're here!

Something I learned recently that I've got to pass on. Maslow's "Hierarchy of Needs" is... upside down. I thought you should know.

Well, to begin, I heard it from Andre during Agorapulco (he also was my recent guest on the LEO podcast) and needless to say, I had to investigate his claim. Sure enough, there was smoke and then fire!

Are you losing a great deal of respect for anyone the system has put on a pedestal yet?

Certainly we know the politicians... liars and thieves, at best, who sell out their constituents to the highest bidder. Then the generals and admirals... also sell outs and chief operators of the meat grinders for the young males of their respective populations to either be killed, turned into guinea pigs, or possibly worse, psychologically damaged from the trauma for a lifetime. Possibly to serve as the next generation of operators of future meat grinders. Side note: there is no honor in war... and those who promote it or glamorize it are simply propagandists. Those who believe in it... fools (if you're offended by that, it's high time to grow smarter).

Leaders of "science" are the latest to be knocked off the steps. And here's an example. Abraham Maslow. As usual, aided by a corrupt institutionalized school system. Has nearly everyone understanding a model of personality and motivation that is backwards. How many conversations have you had over your lifetime discussing Maslow's "Hierarchy of Needs"? I've had quite a few.

The working stiffs, fresh out of school, head off to their jobs to make enough money to take care of their basic needs... Physiological and Safety (food, shelter, transportation, communication, etc...) which seem to always be increasing in cost in the racket called "consumerism" and if they're lucky, get to spend a very small portion of their time finding Love and Belonging, Self-Esteem, and even less with Self-Actualization. I recall as a kid hearing the term "Self-Actualization" for the first time... it was probably fifth or sixth grade when the teacher explained it as 'finding your own true nature.' I thought then, that's something I want to do!

So, 40+ years later, finally getting to it, can you fault me for being a bit aggravated to learn that's where I should have been focusing on at the beginning?! It's bloody 'confusion technique' again!

Comparing the Blackfoot Nation's obvious wisdom to Maslow's concoction, it's clear his model is the lessor. If not a trap designed for the masses to fall into. Who is checking this shit??? Isn't the whole field of Psychology, all those PhDs and Universities, worried to get a black eye for misleading people for 60+ years? Apparently not...

To add even further to the ridiculousness. Even Maslow, didn't like his model and changed it! But did the text books get changed? Couldn't they at least offer a reference to the Blackfoot? Nope.

I won't try to rehash research already done on this subject. You can find a number of references even Googling the topic (at the present moment). Here's an post from Shane Safir from late 2020 which is well documented and referenced, I think it does the topic justice.

Anger, disbelief, disregard, apathy may be some of the options people who are confronted with this information may have. I would suggest contemplation. What are the good things that could come from this discovery? We can't change the past, all we can do is learn from it and make tomorrow better with actions we take today.

I would hope people use it for motivation to take more responsibility for their lives and more importantly, the lives of the children coming up in this world. We're entering a new era, where information is the new oil. Good and excellent information is what everyone needs to be on the look out for. Being able to discern that quality information is an ability every individual needs to take responsibility for. To be a fool in the information age is a choice. To be stupid is to allow harm to occur to yourself or others or both. Don't be a fool, don't be stupid, choose wisdom!

The Blackfoot Nation has provided all of us with some powerful wisdom... are you willing to use it?

Take note of the wisdom of the Blackfoot... the symbol they used for a good life... was also what they lived in... and contributed to the landscape. In psychology, a visual mega-anchor!
